(KMOV) -- A pizza delivery driver in north St. Louis County had a scary incident Wednesday night.

Police say an Imo's driver was robbed at gunpoint just before midnight.

It happened in the Imo's parking lot on Natural Bridge just east of Interstate 170.

The employee had just gotten off work and into his vehicle. The robber opened the passenger door and pointed a gun in the driver’s face.

The driver wasn't seriously injured, but the robber got away with about $40.

The suspect is described as a black man 5’7” to 5’9” wearing a sleeveless white shirt and blue jeans. He was seen running in the direction of the Springwood apartment complex.

Surveillance cameras were not operational at the time.
