(KMOV.com) -- It is not going to be easy to get a conceal carry bill passed in Illinois.

By Monday's deadline, 27 amendments had been added to the proposal. Tuesday, legislators debated only one amendment before Republicans walked away from the table. 

Conceal carry is a hot button issue between Republicans and Democrats and between Chicago and the rest of Illinois.
