RED BUD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Lottery officials say the holder of the state's winning Mega Millions ticket for a three-way share of the $656 jackpot remains a mystery.
Lottery spokesman Mike Lang says the Illlinois winner hasn't come forward with the ticket bought at the MotoMart convenience store in the southern Illinois town of Red Bud.
Winning tickets also were sold in Kansas and Maryland, making each worth about $218 million. Winners in those states also have not yet come forward.
Illinois law gives a prize winner one year to claim a jackpot. Winners are rarely allowed to remain anonymous.
The MotoMart store that sold the winning Illinois ticket will get $500,000 from the Illinois Lottery.
The three tickets matched all six numbers: 2-4-23-38-46 and had the Mega Ball 23.
