(KMOV) – Icy roads caused a traffic backup on a section of eastbound Interstate 44 after 11 vehicles got stuck on the roadway Thursday afternoon near Eureka.

According to Al Nothum with St. Louis County police, five semi trucks, five passenger vehicles and an armored car got stuck at the bottom of a hill at Antire Rd. near Eureka.

No vehicles made contact, so it is not considered an accident. Traffic, however, was backed up because the vehicles cannot make it up the hill.

We’ll be sure to update the story as more information becomes available.
