(KMOV) – Big crowds converged on Jefferson Barracks Monday to pay respects to veterans for Memorial Day.
As part of the 10 a.m. ceremony, veterans spoke to guests before decorating graves in the 331-acre cemetery.
Because of the anticipated heavy traffic, event organizers asked drivers to use the Koch. Rd. exit from Interstate 255 and park in the shuttle lots at the Jefferson Barracks VA medical center. Another shuttle will was offered from the Sheridan Rd. Metro station beginning at 8 a.m.
