Family escapes Metro-East house fire

(KMOV.com) -- A family was able to escape a fire that swept through a Troy, Ill. home early Thursday morning.

The fire started at a home in the 30 block of Stonebrooke Dr. just before 5 a.m.

Troy Police said the family got out of the home safely.

News 4 cameras caught video of firefighters after the blaze was put out.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
