DELLWOOD, Mo (KMOV) – A murder suspect barricaded himself inside his Dellwood home during a police stand-off early Wednesday morning.

Police say detectives tracked down the suspect allegedly involved in a homicide Tuesday afternoon to a home in Dellwood shortly after midnight.

The suspect barricaded himself in the home on the 1700 block of Dowd for three hours as police and tactical teams surround the home.

It wasn’t until 3 a.m. that crews entered the home and located the suspect inside the trunk of a vehicle parked in the garage.

A toddler was also found at the home. That child was taken into protective custody and is expected to be OK.

The suspect was wanted in connection to the shooting death of a 38-year-old man in Kinloch. The victim’s body was found in an open lot on the 8100 block of Gregory around 3 p.m.

Details into the investigation and suspect’s identity have not been released.
