(KMOV) -- A High Ridge teen was killed when his car lost control along a Jefferson County road Friday night.
According to police, William Ivy, 16, was driving on Cedar Hill Road and Route B when he lost controle and left the roadway.
His car struck a drainage pipe before becoming airborne; crossing over Cedar Hill Road. Ivy’s car then hit a utility pipe before coming to rest on its passenger side.
Ivy was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, where he died three days later from injuries sustained in the wreck.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Authorities are still working to determine the cause.
