EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Police have identified two "persons of interest" wanted in connection to a robbery during Sunday Service at a church in East St. Louis.

East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore says nobody was hurt during the armed robbery at IRA Grove Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1701 Belmont Ave.

Howard Dotson, Jr., 17, and Rufus Thomas, 20, are wanted for questioning, and considered "armed and dangerous."

Authorities said three gunmen stormed the church during service, robbed members of the congregation, then fled with money and other items. Investigators are working to determine exactly what was taken from the churchgoers.

The robbery was reported to police just after 5 p.m. Sunday. The police chief says the investigation is ongoing.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
