(KMOV.com) -- A Granite City woman was arrested after allegedly giving alcohol to a teenager, who was later found wandering a street wearing no shoes and crying.
Brandy McCallister, 29, was charged with unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor and permitting a minor to become intoxicated, both misdemeanors.
Police responded to reports of a juvenile walking alone in the 3200 block of West Chain of Rocks Road around 12:40 a.m. Officers made contact with the teenager, who had been consuming alcohol.
The juvenile was taken into custody and later released to a parent. The teen may face a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.
An investigation led police to McCallister, who was also found to have active warrants for driving with a suspended license and permitting a minor to become intoxicated.
McCallister remains held on a $1,275 cash bond.
