GODFREY, Il (KMOV.com) – Friday night, Madison County Sheriff’s Investigators received information that a large quantity of narcotics was located in a residence in the 2700 Queen Street in Godfrey.
A search of the home resulted in the seizure of approximately eight pounds of cannabis, seventeen grams of cocaine, forty six suspected doses of LSD, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, and more than $1,300.00.
Investigators linked the narcotics to William Noe and his girlfriend, Ashley Welch, who live in the basement of the residence.
Noe and Welch were not at home when the search warrant was executed, but returned as investigators concluded with the search. They were arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail where they were held pending a formal review of facts by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Bond is set at $500,000.00 on each defendant.
The narcotics seized have an estimated street value of approximately $20,000.00.
