Wentzville, Mo. (KMOV) – The General Motors plant in Wentzville, Mo. will be making an announcement just after 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning that many people are hoping will bring hundreds of jobs to the St. Louis region.

Earlier this month, GM announced the addition of two new production lines and jobs at the Wentzville plant. The 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon Models should be available for sale at dealerships this fall.

GM officials said the company would hire more workers depending on demand for those vehicles.

GM randomly chooses applicants for those jobs through a referral process conducted by Slate Missouri Career Center in downtown St. Louis.
