Fundraiser to be held benefiting Rock Hill police officer

April 16, 2010 - Rock Hill police officer Matt Crosby, with his wife Stephanie, received a $50,000 check from Backstoppers Friday in his hospital room at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. The officer was shot April 8 while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Looking on at left is Crosby's partner, Lt. Jordan Lewis. This Saturday, April 17, from noon until 3 p.m., a lemonade stand fundraiser will be held as a benefit for Crosby. Donors can purchase lemonade at the southwest corner of Manchester and S. (KMOV) -- A fundraiser is scheduled tonight for Rock Hill police officer Matt Crosby  who was shot and paralyzed while responding to a domestic disturbance call.

The event is at the St. Louis Police Association Hall on Hampton Avenue at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults and admission is free for children.

All proceeds go directly to Crosby and his family.
