OLIVETTE, Mo.—A suburban St. Louis restaurant is offering free sandwiches to furloughed government workers every day until the government shutdown concludes.

KMOX Radio reports that SugarFire Smokehouse in Olivette is offering the Government Shutdown sandwich that includes turkey, pork, brisket, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayonnaise. It is $7, but free to those on furlough.

It is estimated that more than 3 percent of the St. Louis workforce is made up of government workers.
