EUREKA, Mo. (KMOV) – A former 20-year-old Six Flags employee has been given probation to spying on two 13-year-old girls as they changed clothes near a ride on August 8.

Jeremy Bates pleaded guilty to misdemeanor invasion of privacy in a deal with prosecutors. He was originally charged with second-degree invasion of privacy of multiple individuals, a felony.

Police said a mother of one of the two teens saw Bates watching the girls through an opening between the wall and door frame of a dressing room near the Monsoon Marge’s gift shop in Hurricane Harbor.

The mother told Six Flags staff, who later provided police with surveillance video of Bates watching the girls from the gift shop.

Police questioned Bates who admitted to watching the teens as they changed. He was arrested and released later that day.

Bates was sentenced to probation for two years and must undergo a sex offender evaluation, counseling, and refrain from contact with the victim.
