(KMOV.com) – A Florissant woman is awaiting sentencing after she pleaded guilty to tax and fraud charges.

Reports indicate that Evelyn Silas, 53, pleaded guilty to 13 counts of tax and fraud charges relating to 2009, 2010 and 2011 tax returns.

According to reports, Silas altered tax forms for friends and family to increase tax returns. Allegedly, Silas kept the better part of $90,000 from the false tax returns.

Additional charges have been filed against the suspect for making false statements on her own tax returns, as well as falsifying documents given to auditors.

Silas faces three years in jail or a $100,000 fine for each charge. Prosecutors will seek to have the losses returned to the state.
