(KMOV.com) – Firefighters responded to a call at the St. Louis County Police firing range in South County Friday night.

St. Louis County Police said the fire affected a storage shed at the firing range in the 6600 block of Bussen Road, off Antire and I-44 near Eureka. Officials said the fire had been put out.

Police reported no ammunition is stored on the site and that reports of an explosion were false. The St. Louis Bomb and Arson Unit uses the shed to store chairs, supplies and other items.

Crews said the fire was electrical. No word on how the fire started.
