(KMOV) – Firefighters were on the scene of a natural gas leak in north St. Louis Tuesday morning.
Officials say a gas leak occurred underground in the 4200 block of Natural Bridge in the Greater Ville neighborhood.
Crews forced their way into two commercial buildings in the area to ensure vapors did not enter and create the potential for an explosion.
Officials say they found the source of the leak and were working to uncover and assess it.
One eastbound lane of Natural Bridge was closed during the investigation.
Additional information was not immediately available.
