ST. LOUIS (KMOV)—One firefighter was injured while fighting a one-alarm blaze at a home in south St. Louis.

Crews responded to the the scene of a two-story house fire at Kingshighway and Oakland after the blaze broke out just before 4:30 a.m.

According to authorities, one firefighter suffered burn injuries on the scene.

Kingshighway was closed in both directions as they worked to get the flames under control.

There was no word on what caused the fire to break out inside the vacant home. The damage to the home is moderate.
