(KMOV)-- A fire destroyed a home near Cahokia in St. Clair County.
Firefighters called to the 100 block of Ameila around 10:30 Monday night.
A police officer on the scene says the man who lives there left for a short time and when he came back the fire had broken out.
No one was injured.
