(KMOV.com) -- A three-alarm fire caused extensive damage to a HotShots Sports Bar and Grill in St. Charles early Saturday morning.
Fire crews responded to reports that the sports bar, located in the 1600 block of Country Club Plaza Drive, was engulfed in flames around 3 a.m.
Fire officials said flames were shooting from the roof when they arrived on the scene, and the building was already filled with heavy smoke.
The owner of HotShots told authorities that the establishment did not have sprinklers.
No one was injured in the fire.
A preliminary investigation indicated the fire started in the kitchen. However, officials say they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
A number of ambulances and fire crews, along with the Red Cross, were at the scene for about four hours.
Captain Dan Casey said fire damage caused part of the HotShots roof to collapse. A vacant building next door to the restaurant was also damaged.
