(KMOV.com) – The FBI said it has identified “John Doe 27,” a man they have been searching for after officials say he sexually exploited a minor.

The FBI said the man who they are not indentifying was photographed while he was engaging in sexually- explicit activities with a child. Authorities say he is from the Midwest.

Officials described him as white male between 40 and 50 with brown hair, a bald spot and grey sideburns.

The FBI also said he wears glasses and a ring on his right finger, and the agency believes he speaks with a southern accent and refers to himself as Jimmy.

Authorities said no arrest warrants have been issued or served.

The FBI said it would not make any additional comments on the open investigation.
