JENNINGS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Kindergarten classrooms in the Jennings school district experienced heating problems Thursday, one of the coldest days of the year.
A Jenning’s spokesperson said some of Northview Elementary school’s classrooms needed the temperatures adjusted, but it was never cold. Jennings said the temperature was around 70 degrees.
However, parents said a few classrooms were without heat for two days this week.
Toni Cain is the mother of a kindergarten boy at Northview. She said her son has to wear multiple layers of clothes just to be inside the classroom.
A staff member at the school even said three kindergarten classrooms had temperatures around 50 degrees on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
The staff member said there was a boiler problem over the weekend.
The staff member also said the heat problem was fixed Thursday afternoon.
