Police: Fatal pedestrian accident at St. Charles Rock Road bus stop

St. Charles, Mo. (KMOV) An elderly driver is dead after she struck a woman waiting for the bus on Friday.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. on St. Charles Road Road, just east of McKelvey.

The driver was in the eastbound lane when she suffered a medical condition and lost control of her vehicle.

The pedestrian, Donnah Levy-Hale, 21, was sitting on the bus stop bench when the vehicle left the road and struck her.

The driver, 79-year-old Elizabeth Baylark, of St. Louis, was taken to DePaul Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Hale had moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
