EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- On Christmas day, East St. Louis residents were treated to the spirit of the season.
Families gathered for a Christmas dinner and toy giveaway at the East St. Louis municipal building.
The event paid tribute to the late reverand Doris Davis, who held a similar dinner before his passing earlier this year.
Coats were also handed out as part of the dinner event.
Volunteers say the event is a way to honor Davis and to give back to the community.
