Update:  The pool reopened Friday afternoon after a second water quality assessment returns showed no E. coli present in the water.

(KMOV.com) – The Webster Groves Aquatic Center will be closed until Saturday because bacteria was discovered in the pool.

News 4 has health officials found trace elements of E Coli which can cause stomach cramping and bloody diarrhea. It is spread through contact with food or water contaminated with feces.

Such bacteria can be killed with chlorine.
