(KMOV) – Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that left one person dead and two others injured in north St. Louis city Wednesday morning.
Police say two vehicles were heading west on Cass shortly after 1 a.m. when one car struck the other vehicle at the 20th Street intersection.
The first vehicle then hit a light pole and a fire hydrant before coming to a stop.
The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the second vehicle had two occupants; both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the wreck was not immediately known.
