(KMOV) – Police are searching for the driver who did not stop after hitting boy running along a north St. Louis street Wednesday evening.
The 5-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on Lexington near Warnee as he was running between two parked cars around 6 p.m.
The vehicle, described by police as being a gold truck or SUV, did not stop after hitting the boy.
Neighbors tell News 4’s Jasmine Huda, there is no way this driver couldn’t have known they struck someone. The neighbors say they could hear the impact from inside their brick homes.
The child was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are searching for the driver of the gold truck or SUV.
