(KMOV) -- At a custody hearing on Friday morning in St. Clair County, a judge decided that two-year-old Amanda Runyon will stay with her father for the time being.
Runyon is the Belleville girl who was so severely beaten that doctors had to remove some of her intestines. Her mother's boyfriend is charged with the attack.
Amanda is now living with her father in Kentucky, but Amanda's mother is trying to win custody of the girl.
Shortly after the beating, she agreed to let Amanda live with her father.
At Friday's hearing the judge did grant Amanda's mother twice monthly supervised visits with her daughter.
The case was continued and the next hearing is scheduled for May 18.
