While Illinois residents can begin submitting concealed carry permits to state police on Jan. 5, there are still many people out there who want and need to learn more about the new law and what it means for them before then.
Those living in the Metro East can do that starting Monday with two seminars. The first seminar will be held at Lewis and Clark community College’s N.O. Nelson campus on Troy Rd. in Edwardsville. There will be another meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the O’Fallon, Ill. Public Library on Civic Plaza.
During the meeting, attendees will learn about the qualifications to obtain a concealed carry license, where concealed carry is prohibited, training requirements and application fees.
