(KMOV) – A Collinsville man is accused of trying to run his ex-girlfriend off the road while putting children in danger.
“He had rammed her car with her, her children, another female and her children in the car,” said Major Tom Coppotelli with Collinsville Police Department.
Collinsville Police say Travis Moss terrorized his ex-girlfriend and then returned hours after he rammed her car with children in the backseat.
Using a key to open the front door, Moss is accused of holding his victims hostage while kids, as young as 8-years-old, stood fearful nearby.
“He push down or struck one of the other females in the house and his estranged girlfriend he slapped and would not allow anyone to leave the house,” said Major Coppotelli.
Eventually one woman got away and called police. News 4’s Julian Johnson checked and officers say at the time of the attack, Moss already had a warrant for domestic violence against the same woman.
He has a tendency to violence we fear for the safety of her and anybody else that could come in contact with him,” said Major Coppotelli.
Moss is currently at large and is facing restraint and domestic violence charges.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call police.
