(KMOV) – A judge ruled Monday afternoon to revoke Club Lure’s liquor license.
In the decision, the judge says that current and former residents from around the area near Tucker and Washington Avenue along with police testified that there were several instances of fighting, assaults and gunshots in addition to evidence of drug use and public intoxication, harassment and intimidation.
It also says that police observed serious overcrowding and the distinct odor of marijuana inside the club.
Lure’s owner reportedly tried to deflect blame onto customers of other clubs on Washington Ave., the ruling says. It also points out that residents described harassments and improper behavior from Club Lure patrons.
The club will have its license revoked on October 17, but the club owners said it already has an appeal in the works. The club may be allowed to stay open during the appeal process.
