SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- A central Illinois coroner says a man found dead in an apartment trash chute died accidentally.

Shelbyville County Coroner Brian Green says 38-year-old Steve Arterburn accidentally fell into the trash chute at the apartment complex in Shelbyville where he lived. The town is about 60 miles southwest of Champaign.

Green says Arterburn was trapped in the chute on Dec. 5 and suffocated because he was upside down for a long time.
