Brothers found passed out from apparent drug overdose on Dairy Queen parking lot

(KMOV) – Two brothers face charges after police say they were found passed out from an apparent drug overdose in the parking lot of a Caseyville, Ill. Dairy Queen on May 24.

Thomas Wangelin, 31, and Adam Wangelin, 24, were both charged Thursday with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Police say they responded to a call in the 2400 block of Old Country Inn Dr. around 4:50 p.m. and found the brothers in possession of heroin, syringes and prescription medicine.

They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Adam Wangelin is in custody at the St. Clair County Jail on a $30,000 bond. Bond was set at $40,000 for Thomas Wangelin, who remains at large.
