CARLINVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) – Due to a water emergency, Blackburn College will be closed Monday and Tuesday, February 8th and 9th.

All students and staff, with the exception of essential personnel, are asked to stay home until Wednesday, February 10.   The situation is being assessed and any updates will be provided on the Blackburn College website

For students who are unable to leave campus, food service and portable toilets will be available.

Water on campus has been restored, but Blackburn officials are asking remaining students to be very sparing in its use.  Under no circumstances should the water be consumed.

For any on-campus emergencies, students should call security at x4357.

Parents with concerns may contact Heidi Heinz at: heidi.heinz@blackburn.edu.
