ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A body was pulled from the Mississippi River late Thursday night. The body was spotted floating in the water by barge worker near the intersection of South Wharf and Victory in an industrial area just east of Soulard.
The body was pulled out of the river south of Chouteau Landing, about a mile south of downtown.
The body was identified as an adult, but was too decomposed to determine anything else, even gender.
The St. Louis Police Department is investigating.
