EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) -- Police say a 1-year-old girl, the child's father and another man were stabbed in East St. Louis after an altercation between a brother and sister.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports the stabbings happened Thursday afternoon.
An investigator says a juvenile who is the sister of the baby's 20-year-old father is being held at the St. Clair County Juvenile Detention Center in connection with the matter.
Authorities say she slashed the father's throat with a box cutter, cutting the baby's hand and a wrist as the child's father was holding her. A neighbor who tried to break up the fight also suffered a cut on his right arm.
