Baby Camel born at St. Louis Zoo

A male camel named Presley, was born on Wednesday, June 4 in an outdoor yard in front of spectating visitors at the St. Louis Zoo. He joined other camels in the zoo’s Antelope Yards.

 (KMOV) – A new addition to the St. Louis Zoo family arrived on the one day related most to the animal; Hump Day.

A male camel named Presley, was born on Wednesday, June 4 in an outdoor yard in front of spectating visitors at the St. Louis Zoo. 

Welcoming him into the world were his mother, Celeste and father, Elvis who are part of the endangered species of Bactrian camels. There are less than 1,000 left of the wild two-humped species in Mongolia.
