(KMOV.com) – Police have located an elderly man with Alzheimer’s who went missing from his home in Mascoutah Thursday.

Police said Phillip Bowker, 72, was found confused but in good health at a convenience store in Kansas City. Family members were enroute to pick him up.

Authorities said Bowker left his home in a dark colored 2000 Saturn 4-door vehicle with an Illinois license plate around 3 p.m. Thursday. Police initially said they believed Bowker, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, was on his way to visit his daughter in Wichita, Ks.

Police said he takes prescribed medication, but did have it on him when he left.
