(KMOV) – Police are investigating after an argument over a debit card led to a shooting in north St. Louis on Wednesday.

According to police, two men, 42 and 39,  began arguing about a debit card in the 5100 block of Northland around 10:40 p.m.

During the dispute, the 42-year-old man grabbed a shotgun from the trunk of his vehicle. That’s when the 39-year-old man, who has a concealed carry permit, took a pistol out of his waistband and fired three shots, wounding the first suspect.

He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Authorities said they continue to investigate.
