(KMOV) – Those wanting to see Lionel Messi play at Busch Stadium next week are going to be sorely disappointed, as an injury suffered over the weekend will keep the Argentinean star out at least six weeks, his club Barcelona announced on its website Monday.

Messi was scheduled to come to St. Louis with the Argentina National Team in a game against Bosnia- Herzegovinia on November 18. He has officially been ruled out.

Messi tore his hamstring in a match against Real Betis in La Liga action on Sunday. The club says the recovery time will take six to eight weeks.

Tickets to Monday’s match start at $40 and can be found at cardinals.com/soccer, the Busch Stadium box office and at (314)-345-9000.

The match marks the second soccer match at Busch Stadium following Manchester City’s 4-3 win over rivals Chelsea on May 23 in front of a capacity crowd of 48, 263.
