Area leaders hold event to reduce violent crime

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Area leaders are coming together to figure out a way to reduce violent crime.

St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson, and St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley are trying to find a solution to the growing problem.

The leaders would like to give young people more to do, more places to go, and give them more meaingful employment options.

Mayor Slay was not the only official holding a “Stop the Violence Event.” Alderman Antonio French is also making efforts to make his neighbothood
