ALTON, Mo. (AP) -- A 57-year-old man has died after falling off the tailgate of a pickup truck in southern Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the victim as Harold Renfro of Alton. The patrol says that after falling off the tailgate, a trailer the vehicle was towing ran over him.
The accident happened Monday on a field south of the Oregon County town of Alton. Renfro was pronounced dead at the scene.
