(KMOV) – Every administrator in the Rockwood School District will get a bump in pay after the school board approved $350,000 for a new administrative pay plan.
The plan was proposed during an April 11 public meeting but voted on behind closed doors.
Under the plan, administrators will no longer start at a standard base salary. Instead the board will now look at their education level, experience, merit and responsibility level.
All 117 administrators in the district for the 2013-2014 school year will see a salary increase of at least 2 percent.
According to district officials, Rockwood School District administrators make $10,528 below the average administrator salary in St. Louis County.
