MARKHAM, Illinois (KMOV)—Illinois State Police report that a 18-month-old girl who was abducted by a 46-year-old man on June 12th has been located and the AMBER alert canceled.

On Tuesday, police in Markham, Illinois issued an AMBER Alert for Tillie Armour who was reportedly taken from her home in the 7100 block of South Ellis Avenue in Chicago.

Officers say she was taken by her father, Cleophus Cooks.  According to WBBM, "The girl’s mother waited for a week to report her daughter missing, because she hoped Cooks would 'do the right thing.'"

Details about how the girl was found have not been released.  It is also unclear if Cooks is in custody at this time.
