COZAD, Neb. (AP) — One of the people killed on icy roads in Nebraska this week was a Christian singer from suburban Kansas City.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 37-year-old Derek Loux of Grandview, Mo., died early Wednesday after losing control of his SUV on Interstate 80 near Cozad.
Loux's wife, Tracie, posted a statement on the family's blog, www.louxfamilyblog.com, about the accident. Tracie Loux asked people to pray for her family as they deal with the loss of Derek Loux.
The statement says Loux had been on his way back from Colorado where he had attended a ministry training session.
Loux released a CD titled "Paper Religion" in 2007, and he helped lead the International House of Prayer ministry in Kansas City that promotes adoption.
