KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The National Association of Free Clinics is holding a two-day medical clinic for those lacking medical insurance at a Kansas City convention center.
The Communities Are Responding Everyday clinic will be held at the Bartle Hall Convention Center on Dec. 9-10. Medical volunteers are providing a wide range of free health care services, including mental health, vision and social services.
The association held similar large-scale clinics in Houston, New Orleans and Little Rock this fall, serving between 1,000 and 1,700 patients each. Organizers said the Kansas City event could involve more patients because it's scheduled for two days instead of just one.
Information for the event is available at the group's Web site, http://freeclinics.us.
