KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in Kansas City are trying to sort out who knocked a high school band teacher unconscious on a school bus following a girls basketball game.
The Kansas City Star reports that the incident occurred Tuesday night. Students said boys outside the bus started yelling at girls on the bus. A 15-year-old boy and several friends forced their way on the bus and witnesses said he stuck the Central High School teacher in the head.
The teacher, who doesn't remember what happened, hit his head and collapsed. A 15-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital after also being struck and suffering an asthma attack.
Police later arrested the 15-year-old boy for assault and are still investigating whether other students threw punches.
