(KMOV.com) -- Seven people have been arrested following a police raid in Belleville.

Police were called to a home in the 3500 block of west A Street after multiple complaints of overcrowding and suspicious activity.

When police arrived, they found evidence of a meth lab including drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine and other drug making-materials.

Seven people were taken into custody, though formal charges have yet to be filed.

The home was being cleared by a special team from Illinois State Police. It has been deemed “uninhabitable” by the city building inspector for sewage-related problems.
