St. Louis (KMOV) -- Chris Coleman, the Columbia, Illinois man charged with killing his wife and two children on May 5th, once worked on the security team for evangelist Joyce Meyer. On the day of the murders, Meyer went to the Coleman home and spoke with Chris.

Since that time Coleman has resigned from the job for allegedly violating ministry policy.

On Wednesday, the morning after Chris Coleman was arrested and charged with the murders, the Joyce Meyers Ministries released the following statement.

"This horrible tragedy had deeply saddened us all and although nothing can compensate for the loss of the beautiful family, our ministry remains fully behind the diligent efforts of the law enforcement community."
